A simple message of appreciation is certainly in order

There I go again … pinching myself.
I’ve done that so much the last year that I’ve got bruises all over.
Yes, it has been a year since I took over The Vista — and (it’s a worn out cliche’ but very true in this case) … Time flies when you’re having fun.
It just snuck on me this week when I realized the date and reflected back over the past year.
It was my desire to take The Vista, use my 25 years experience in journalism, and freshen the product up; giving the Glade community something to look forward to each week.
The feedback I have received has been nothing short of amazing.
Pinch, pinch.
And I would say it is a compliment of sorts when ‘other’ papers are putting their bundles on top of our papers in OUR racks at various businesses.
Speaking of the businesses, I wish to thank them for noticing and buying into what we are trying to do here — and then wanting to be a part of it by advertising with us.
I share these thoughts with you because I look at the Glade community as a big family and I believe in expressing appreciation for family members. This is our community and I want to see it thrive as much as you do. We are in this together and together share a wonderful place to live.
So I want you to know that I will continue to work hard to make improvements and never sacrifice quality.
I know mistakes are made from time to time but we work hard to keep those at a minimum.
We want a clean, sharp paper with interesting articles and timely reminders.
If you have ideas you wish to share, please feel free to call us or email us.
If you have a story to tell, do the same.
If you know someone who has a fantastic background and/or an inspiring way about them … let us know.
In the meantime, if you see me out and about … you’ll understand the bruises.
