The annual Avalon Center’s Lady Vol Bus Trip for the 2013-2014 basketball season is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, which is the beginning of the quest for another SEC Championship.
The Lady Vols will host LSU, which is coached by former Lady Vol player and assistant coach, Nikki Caldwell. Some added fun and excitement will be the retiring of Candace Parker’s jersey prior to tip-off. Game time is currently scheduled for 7 P.M. (Eastern) at Thompson Bowling Arena.
As in the past, motor coaches have been reserved for this event, so it’s advised that you get your name and money in early to guarantee a seat. Price of this trip is $70 per person, which includes transportation via Motor Coach from Crossville to Knoxville and back, game ticket and a hot buffet meal at The Bearden Banquet Hall on Kingston Pike.
All seating for this game will be in the Lower Level of the arena. Buses will leave from the Cumberland Worship Center parking lot, which is located just behind the Dairy Queen Travel Plaza on Interstate Drive, just off Genesis Rd.
Departure time will be promptly at 2 P.M. (Central) for the Lady Vol game. Buses will travel directly to Bearden Banquet Hall for dinner. Game time is 7 P.M. (Eastern).
This trip will benefit Avalon Center for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
Everyone will be called or emailed a couple of days prior to game day and told to which bus they have been assigned. All checks are to be made payable to Avalon Center and mailed to: 3888 Peavine Road, Crossville, TN 38571 or dropped off at either Pioneer Realty Office on Main Street or Peavine Road.
