Captivating voice of Jim Case to entertain RHA
For The Vista
“A voice that gives you goose bumps with its richness, power and clarity,” are among the plaudits given to Jim Case, a local entertainer, who will be the featured guest artist for the Fairfield Glade Resident Homeowners at their Feb. 24 meeting at Legends, starting at 6 P.M.
A native of upstate New York, Mr. Case is a graduate of John Hopkins University; retired from the Federal Government after 34 years of service; and settled in Fairfield Glade in 2005.
Jim Case, a lyric baritone, sings music of the ages, featuring ballads, show tunes, hits – old and new, time honored standards and sacred songs. Silver haired and silver-tongued, this ageless singer is simply amazing, noted Dick Wardenfelt from Westminister, MD. Peg Rowan, a New York theatre goer, said that Jim has a voice that equals the best of the greats.
In May of 2009, he delighted the RHA audience in a very captivating way. You will not want to miss this concert!
This will be the second of seven programs that will be presented by RHA during the year 2014. Frank Saxton kicked off the season with a great saxophone show in January. In March you will be honored to hear Dr. William Bass, noted forensic author at UT, who will tell us the story of the founding of the “Body Farm,”; April you will hear a beautiful young lady from Chattanooga, Shani Hedden Palmer, singing great songs of Patsy Cline.
After the summer lull, they will pick up in September with the charming voice of Weslie Webster from the Playhouse. Work is progressing yet on the October and November shows.
All in all you will find this to be a wonderful year at RHA, but to do this we need you to sign up your memberships. Your dues money is all that we have to procure these programs, so please step up and join RHA for the low price of just $12 per year. Residents who have never attended an RHA meeting – now would be a good time to come and check it out!
RHA is strictly a social event which provides an opportunity for you to meet your neighbors and keep up with the activities of the Community Club, and at the same time, enjoy some very fine entertainment.
Non-members can attend by paying a $6 entertainment fee plus the meal cost of $17 per person which includes tax and tip.
If you follow your first meeting with another $6 fee, you will automatically become a member.
The menu for this meeting will be roast beef w/red wine demi sauce, whipped potatoes, broccoli and carrots, chef’s salad and sweet selection.
