For The Vista
Bob Weber, General Manager of the Fairfield Glade Community Club, will be the speaker at the FFG Lions Club meeting September 17.
Weber became General Manager in July 2011 and has had a rather busy schedule ever since. The Lions are very pleased that he will join them with some interesting insight of what is going on in our community.
Weber graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.A. in Accounting. He went to work for six years at Price Waterhouse holding positions as Controller and Financial Recruiter. His career in Association/Club career began in 1989 when he became Controller for Laurel Oak Estates and Country Club in Sarasota, Florida. He held the position of Vice President and General Manager from 1996 to 1999.
In 2000, Weber became a Vice President with the master planned community of Lakewood Ranch, Florida. He worked with six Property Owner Association (POA) boards to effectively operate seven villages and a private club with 54 holes of golf. During Bob’s tenure at Lakewood Ranch the Community grew from 2,000 homes to over 6,000 by 2008.
The Weber’s, Bob and wife Cecilia, have been married for 27 years. Their daughter recently graduated from the University of Florida and their son is attending Furman University in Greenville, SC.
Needless to say, Bob Weber has a vast background to carryout the duties as Fairfield Glade Community Club General Manager.
The September 17 Lions Club meeting will be held at the Druid Hills Country Club Legends Restaurant starting at 6:00pm.
Seating will be limited but if you would like to hear Mr. Weber and learn more about the Lions Club please call Membership Chairman Jerry McBride at 707-0438 for a reservation at the dinner meal as a guest of the Lions Club.
