Recently, the Fairfield Glade Fire Department received a call from 911 Central Dispatch of a possible Structure fire at the Nottingham Villas just off of Catoosa Boulevard. This happened after a large thunder storm rolled through the Fairfield Glade area. A bolt of lightning had hit somewhere in the area of the Nottingham condos. Two of the condos started to fill with smoke very quickly,. The rain and some lighting still continued as the first Engines and fire personal arrived on the scene. The Firefighters quickly located the source of the smoke and found fire in the crawl space. The firefighters quickly went into high gear and worked diligently into the night to extinguish the fire and removed the smoke from the two condos first floor areas. The fire was held to the area in the basement and did not reach any of the first floor areas, according to Fairfield Glade Fire Chief Howard Robb.
