Dr. Hoover to View ‘Rehab or Surgery?’ To Manage Osteoarthritis Issues of Knee
Gregory K. Hoover, M.D., an orthopaedic surgicalist in the emergency department at Cumberland Medical Center, will be the guest speaker on Wednesday, May 2 at the monthly Community Seminar at the CMC Wellness Complex at Fairfield Glade.
The program is from 11 a.m. to noon in the Conference Room. It is free and open to the general public.
Dr. Hoover will discuss the pros and cons of rehabilitation or surgery in management of osteoarthritis issues of the knee. As a surgicalist, he is on duty full time in the emergency department, dealing with orthopaedic problems.
He received his medical education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1987, completed an internship at the University of Texas School of Medicine at Houston, Texas, in 1988, and finished his residency there in 1992.
Dr. Hoover is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and CAQ in Sports Medicine-ABOS.
He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
