Emerson: Art Guild Artist of the Month

The Art Guild at Fairfield Glade is celebrating the creativity of Camilla S. Emerson during the month of November . Come and view one-of-a-kind works of art . This exhibition is located at the Plateau Creative Arts Center, 451 Lakeview Drive, (off Peavine).
Emerson’s work combines many media from acrylic on canvas to painting on silk, handmade paper, stained glass, watercolor, pottery, sculpture, and collage. Although complex in execution, her art remains accessible to her audiences, featuring vivid color, dramatic forms, and recognizable images. Several works are reminiscent of her ancestral home in Northern France. Camilla’s mother was a smart dresser and talented seamstress, and therefore influenced several “ink resist” pieces which she named my “Mi Mi “ paintings.
An accomplished artist, Camilla has been teaching for 25 years in Michigan, Ohio, Florida, and Cumberland County, Tn. She has , also, worked as an architectural and interior design consultant, faux painter, custom picture framer, and demonstrator of the fine arts. Her artwork is featured in galleries, businesses, and homes throughout the .S. and abroad. She has had one woman shows in Florida and Ohio, been featured in art publications, and has won many awards including several at local shows.
