FOL suggests early spring clean of books
For The Vista
The Friends of the Library (FOL) have a suggestion to break the winter doldrums: Spring Cleaning! Really! Now is the time to start clearing off those shelves of books you’ve read or those you may never have time to read.
You know they are dust gatherers when not active don’t you? Drop them off at the Library in Crossville or the Book box at the Village Mall in Fairfield Glade.
While you are recycling read and never-to-be-read-books; what about you’re old costume jewelry in the same condition?
Just look at that crowded jewelry box! It’s a wonder you can find anything with all the new items you or your significant other have added recently. Yes it is time for more spring cleaning!
It’s out with the old books and bling and in with the new. The old part comes first and depends on your generous donations of old books and bling in support of our library.
Look for the Bling Box in the Libraries Friends Book Store and also across from Kroger Pharmacy in Fairfield Glade. The new part is when you attend the first FOL Book Sale on Friday and Saturday, April 19 & 20; the first Bling Sale of 2013 will be the day before Mother’s Day on Saturday May 11th.
Don’t miss these special events; by then you will have your book shelves and jewelry box streamlined for priceless additions from our sales that you have made an important part in developing one of the very best public libraries in Tennessee.
