For The Vista
It may not be Spring yet, but it sure feels like it! And with the warm weather, I’m starting to look for lighter meals.
This pizza is a quick fix for those evenings when you don’t want a big meal. Hope you enjoy it!
BLT Pizza
1 prebaked 12” pizza crust
1⁄2 c Miracle Whip
2 tsp dried basil
1⁄2 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp onion powder
12 bacon strips, cooked & crumbled
3⁄4 c shredded cheddar cheese
3⁄4 c shredded mozzarella cheese
1 1⁄2 c shredded lettuce
2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
Place crust on ungreased pizza pan. In a small bowl, combine Miracle whip, basil garlic powder & onion powder. Spread over crust.
Set aside 1⁄4 c bacon. Sprinkle cheeses, bacon & tomatoes over crust. Bake at 425° for 8-12 minutes. Top with lettuce & remaining bacon.
Note: I’ve tried just about every kind of pre-made pizza crust and have made lots of home-made recipes, but I find that we really like the Momma Mary’s brand for a quick dinner.
It’s available in thin and regular crust sizes.
