Food for Thought – September 17, 2013

On Saturday, September 7th, we were in Ohio about 25 minutes north of Cincinnati to se our granddaughter, Leah, get married. On Sunday, September 8th, we were in the Toledo area at our daughter, Charlene’s, to celebrate family birthdays. I found out Char is now on a gluten-free diet. So here is a gluten-free cake recipe from Kroger.

I leave you with this last thought from Madalyn Maloney.

The Quiet Place

It is a quiet place, this place I know;

A shaded place where fresh green mosses grow,

And evergreens – mute sentinels – stand high

Upon the cool, dark earth to kiss the sky.

It is a restful place, this place I love,

Touched by the best of earth and peace above.

It is a place where, surely, God has been,

And blesses still each heart that enters in.
