Celtic Circle to cancel its May gathering

The Celtic Circle will NOT have a Gathering on Tuesday, May 1. Their next  regular gathering will be on Tuesday, June 5 at 6 P.M. at the Christian Church of the Cumberland, 1312 East First Street, Crossville.

Why the cancellation?  Well, first off, they will be celebrating our Robert Burns Dinner just a few days before that, on Saturday, April 28 at the Thunderbird Lodge in Lake Tansi, and Ashley Krohn will be the featured singer for that event. BTW, if you’re interested in attending “Robby’s Dinner, the deadline for reservations is April 23.

Call Wanda at 931-200-4732, or email [email protected] for cost or reservation requirements.

And, Ashley is our second reason for canceling our gathering: she will be in concert at the Palace Theater in Crossville on Tuesday, May 1 and several of want to attend that program and hear more of her beautiful singing.

Ashley was also the feature at the April 3 Gathering, where she sang several Celtic Woman songs with no accompaniment and completely won everyone’s hearts.  At that Gathering, which was well attended, they celebrated the Scottish Tartan Day and also welcomed guests, Dan and Donna, who have Welsh and Irish ancestry.

Please NOTE, the June Gathering is going to be another awesome one with Chris King, founder and leader of the Irish Society of Knoxville, as the featured speaker

There will be Fun ‘n Famous Cakewalks, where for just a $1 a chance, you may win a delicious cake, provided by one of their own volunteers.  The winner can take the cake for later, or can share it there with others.
