Celebrate Christmas at Fellowship Baptist 

Fellowship Baptist Church invites you to its  Christmas centered worship services on Dec. 18th at 10 a.m.

Special music by FBC ensemble, a poetic narration of  “Tonight,” a drama depicting Bethlehem at Christ’s birth, and a guitar special by Bob Bourne will be included.

Christmas cheer will be spread by carolers on Dec. 21; meet them at 5 p.m. at FBC to join in the fun.

In addition, they will have their annual Christmas Eve Candlelight service on Sat., Dec. 24 at 6 p.m.

Finally, on Sunday, Dec. 25 there will be no Sunday School, but they will have their traditional  Christmas service at 10 a.m. (There are no Sunday night services during the winter.).

Changing Life program meeting each Monday

Changing Life from the Inside Out meets every  Monday at The Multi-Purpose Bldg., 455 Lakeview Dr., from 9:00—10:00 a.m.

The group enjoy offering complimentary coffee, tea and muffins, along with printed hard copies of our current topics of discussion.

‘Tis the season to be jolly…’  But are we jolly?  The busy, multi-tasking urgency of the holiday season can make more demands on you and your time and can be exhausting.

 Christmas Services at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church 

All are welcome to join us as the United Methodist Church celebrates the birth of Jesus on Christmas Eve at 4, 7 and 11 p.m. services.

On Christmas Day we will have a 10:00 a.m. service followed by a Christmas Dinner at 1:30 p.m.

Don’t know what to buy for that special person? Consider purchasing a Gift Certificate from the Art Guild at Fairfield Glade.  Beginning in January, a stunning series of happenings at the Art Guild at Fairfield Glade may present itself as a Christmas art gift for the art enthusiast.

Watercolor classes (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) begin January 5, 2012.  The Smorgasbord Series of monthly two-hour classes begins January 10, and the first Beading Class of the year is scheduled for January 24 along with two Pastel Classes on January 30 and 31.

For extra gift giving, this certificate may be used for items in the art gallery, prints, photography, pottery items, jewelry, and note cards.  Look for the following classes in 2012:  Portrait Classes, Basics of Painting, Color Study, Painting With a Palette Knife, Summer Children’s Classes, and Colored Pencil Workshop.  Additional classes are being planned.

New Years Eve Prime Rib dinner at the Elks

Come and enjoy a wonderful dinner and then stay and dance into the New Year!  The Elks Lodge is offering a prime rib dinner.

Menu will consist of a quarter pound prime rib steak,  baked potato,  vegetable, bread, salad and dessert.

Everything starts at  7 p.m. and dancing to follow from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Volunteer Coin Club to Meet December 13

The Volunteer Coin Club of Crossville will hold their regular meeting on Tuesday, December 13, at 6:30 pm.

The meetings are held at the 127 Senior Center located at 1460 South Main Street (Highway 127 South). Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month.

Stamp Club will be

The Upper Cumberland Stamp Club holds bi-weekly meetings at the Fair Park Senior Center at 11 a.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month.

The Senior Center is located at 1433 Livingston Rd. in Crossville, across from the County Fairgrounds.

Adult relative support group meetings will be held on every third Thursday from 12 to 1 p.m. It will be held at the UCHRA Bldg., at 73 Methodist Campground Loop, Crossville.

Art Guild events slated at Creative Arts Center

Every Monday in December, visitors are welcome to an Open Studio. No formal instruction is given, but a sharing of ideas and conversation with an Art Guild artist is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Supplies are available for most mediums for a small fee.

• There will be a Beading Open Studio the first and third Mondays of each month with Judi Moenck and Linda Farber from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bring your project with or without problems.  There will be no formal instruction — just lots of compassion and conversation.  No charge for members.  $5.00 for non-members for studio use.
