Kinseekers will Chat ‘n Chew on July 11

What on earth is a ‘Chat ‘n Chew’ meeting?? It is an informal meeting, where the tables form a large square and we all sits around it, eating the pot-luck snacks everyone has brought, while we share our genealogy success stories, and discuss ways to combat our brick walls and dead ends.

It is fun, relaxing and informative, and everyone is invited. Current genealogy research is not a requirement.

We invite you to come as our guest (we’ll have plenty of extra food to share with you), and if you enjoy the meeting and want to join, the yearly dues are just $10 a person.

NOTE: We NORMALLY meet the 1st Thursday each month, from 1 to 3 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall of the Fairfield Glade Community Church, 521 Snead Drive, FFG.  This JULY MEETING is on the 11th, because of the holiday.

And if you haven’t penciled November 25th for our Bake Sale or December 8th for our Holiday Ball, bring out the pencils now or better yet, jot them in ink and add them to your online calendars.

Attending a meeting will give you a chance to participate and hear what else we have planned for 2019. Watch for more information on these upcoming events. Join us this month and find out how you can help!

For those who are new to this area or are unfamiliar with our organization, all monies raised by FG Hospice Auxiliary are used to support the ongoing operation of Cumberland House.  This is a six bed end of life facility which accommodates all persons without consideration of their ability to pay. Wild About Cats group looks for volunteers

Wild About Cats is looking for compassionate volunteers to assist in feeding local cat colonies, fostering adoptable rescued cats, and fund-raising activities.

Interested volunteers are urged to contact the group at WildAboutCatsTN@gmail.

The group feeds some 25 cats daily in 8 different areas (colonies) in and around Crossville, including Fairfield Glade.

Reliable volunteer feeders are especially critical during these harsh winter months when cats need shelter and daily food to survive.

Foster homes are needed as well.

Many of these cats could be vet checked, neutered and put up for adoption, but currently there are no foster parents to care for them during this process.Helping these cats is rewarding work for any animal lover.

The care and affection you give the cats until a forever home is found is priceless.

Any questions contact Linda Coulter at [email protected] or (609) 618-2244.

Helping Cumberland County’s Needy Cats

This spring is rough! Wild About Cats, a local rescue organization, is facing two problems: not only are more kittens born to homeless cats at this time of the year, but the small organization has lost several critical volunteers due to out-of-town moves. That’s why Wild About Cats is seeking volunteers to help feed or foster these cats that could make wonderful, beloved pets.

The group feeds some 20 cats daily in 8 different areas (colonies) in and around Crossville and Fairfield Glade. Training given.
