The Cumberland County Film Society and the Rocky Top 10 theater announce their first co-sponsored free movie of 2012.

Tonight at 7p.m., “Becoming Jane” will be offered free of charge to the public as well as to members of the Film Society.

Anne Hathaway stars, supported by a wonderful British cast, as a young Jane Austen, the author of some of the best loved and reread novels.

This is a charming, somewhat fanciful story of Jane’s struggles to write her novels as she observes the pride, prejudice, sense, and sensibility as well as the happy and sad romances in her own and her family’s 19th century lives. She falls in love with a high spirited penniless Irishman, and the adventures begin.
