The next Memory Loss Care Group meeting will be Thursday, Nov. 13 at 11 AM. at the Fairfield Glade First Baptist Church- Fellowship Hall. (Please enter on the porch side of the church.)

One concern they have as a support group is to ensure the caregivers receive helpful information from speakers as well as support to avoid physical and mental stress.

Often there is a need just to talk with someone, so this month Carol Donalson of the Christian Counseling Center of Cumberland County will be the speaker.

This non-profit Christian organization has been used to provide counseling services in our community to those needing help dealing with many different challenges.

Under the umbrella of dementia there are 70 different aspects or diseases affecting the brain. Brain disease is no respecter of persons so it is important to learn all we can to help those who come across our path.  Brain disease does not just affect families but the community.

Whether you are a caregiver or have a loved one or friend with dementia, they invite you to join us and benefit from information provided at each meeting.  They encourage questions and sharing at the meetings.

Contact Magaret Brant 931-337-9630 or e-mail [email protected] for additional information.
