Chef Jack Scheife, a Fairfield Glade resident, will demonstrate the preparation of Artisan bread and Salisbury soup, followed by a tasty lunch of demo food shared by the class participants. The class is scheduled for Tuesday, January 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Plateau Creative Arts Center.
This is part of the new 2012 series of Smorgasbord Classes that are ready to roll out at the PCAC. Smorgasbord Classes are monthly, two-hour art classes geared to participants at all skill levels. Offered by the Art Guild at Fairfield Glade, the cost is very reasonable: $12 per person for both Art Guild members and non-members, which includes the cost of materials. January’s Smorgasbord class, titled Artisan Bread and Salisbury Soup, is perfect for the cold winter season. Items for participants to bring from home include: soup bowl, spoon, napkin, and pencil & paper for taking notes.
Chef Jack elevates food preparation into an art form, creating beautiful and delectable cuisine. Before retiring to Fairfield Glade, Jack owned and operated a successful tea room that enjoyed a reputation for fine dining.
The Artisan Bread and Salisbury Soup class is the first of the 2012 series of twelve Fine Arts and Crafts Smorgasbord Classes offered at the PCAC by the Art Guild at Fairfield Glade. Additional classes offered monthly include: Wire-Wrapped Glass Pendant, Soda and Beer Can Jewelry, Watercolor Spring Flowers, Iris Paper Folded Landscape, Beautiful Paper Beads, Greeting Card Inspirations, Funky Wire Art Jewelry, Foiled Polymer Clay Pendant, Victorian Tree Ornament, Playing with Pastels, and Wire Sculptured Earrings.
