All the work is done and now it’s time to celebrate the results.
The Fairfield Glade Community Club announces the Druid Hills Pool grand reopening party on June 19. Beautiful new renovations to the Druid Hills Pool include a covered pavillion, sun deck, pool deck, snack bar, restrooms and storage area.
This is a free event, but a member or guest card is required.
There will be free hot dogs, popcorn, music, games, swimming and mini golf during the celebration that will begin at 5 P.M. and go until 7 P.M.
Here are some fun facts about the new cabana:
• The Cabana is approximately 1,500 square feet.
• Total cost to build was $342,000 — which includes Architectural Fees and Construction Costs.
• The improvements took 4-1⁄2 months to build.
You have to have a member, guest or employee card to use the pool. It is open 7 days a week (weather permitting), froom 10 A.M. to 7 P.M.
It has also been announced the the renovated Creekwood Mini Golf will be open for play during the Druid celebration.
The improvements are part of the Club’s long range planning which includes the Dorchester Clubhouse renovation, a Centralized racquets facility, Druid Hills/Legends renovation, Heatherhurst interior renovation, St. George Marina & Pavilion and Stonehenge Pavilion & Clubhouse improvements.
