5th Annual Cupcake Wars event a tasty success

Who doesn’t like a good cupcake, right?
Well, cupcake lovers had their day recently at the Fairfield Glade Community Club at the 5th Annual Cupcake Wars.
There were14 different entries of cupcakes submitted to be judged. The judges were Darcie Roach (from Good Samaritans), Charlie Strayer (from Dave Kirk Automotive), James Mayberry (from Mayberry’s Home Furnishings), and Kelly Edwards (from Cumberland Medical Center).
After the cupcakes were judged, each cupcake was sold for $2 each. All proceeds will go to care packages for deployed troops. A total of $820 was raised, as a result of cupcake sales and donations.
