Tommy Lee, Director of Operations, resigned last week to pursue other opportunities, according to Fairfield Glade Community Club General Manager Bob Weber.
“By mutual agreement we decided it was in the best interest of all to have his resignation take effect immediately,” Weber said in a press release.
During his five years with The Club, Lee made a significant impact to the Food and Beverage (F&B) operation and also the Recreation Department.
Lee is primarily responsible for recruiting restaurant staff, Sheila “K” to manage the service staff and Chef Jerry.
In May, of this year he recruited James Ivankovich as F&B Director.
Many of you have enjoyed the Recreation Department’s success at Mirror Lake, the Craft Shows, the Pools, Tennis, Pickleball and both Marinas. The ‘traditions’ of each of these venues will continue with the capable staff who have worked these important functions throughout the years.
“Please join me in wishing Tommy well and thanking him for his contribution to Fairfield Glade,” said Weber. “I’d like to take this time to assure you that anytime we have a change, we view it as an opportunity. I regularly review succession planning for our key positions with our Director of Human Resources and will be making recommendations to the Board of Directors on how we can best structure management needs to carry us into the future.
“Justification for these plans will be reviewed and upon final approval, I will provide you an update via e-blast.”
