I read with interest the letter in today’s Vista from Mr. Horstman. The letter sounded as though it had come from me.
If is obvious that I constantly irritate Glade residents by attempting to drive the speed limit. I do not like driving 30 mph, but it is the law. Also, STOP signs mean STOP.
Recently I had an experience very similar to Mr. Horstman. I was coming into the Glade on Peaving and being followed much too close by another vehicle. (I am pretty sure the driver was irritated because I had been driving 30 mph from the point that the speed limit dropped from 45 mph.) We were approaching the 4 way stop at Peavine/Stonehenge when the car rushes (reving engine) by me in the right lane and “rolls” through the 4 way stop.
Are individuals ever ticketed in the Glade for speeding or running Stop signs?
