Cumberland County has been attracting retirees and families to our area for countless years. Many accomplishments have been received through those efforts.
Topretirement.com ranks Cumberland County in the Top 100 Best Places to Retire – ranking 39th among other cities in the United States. Ohio Magazine, At Home Tennessee, Travel 50 and Beyond, Where to Retire, Ideal Living, Fairway Living have published feature articles on the inviting attractions of Cumberland County. Cumberland County is a member of the American Association of Retirement Communities and received the Seal of Approval award in 2007.
Fairfield Glade has contributed to the successes of our County in attracting these individuals. Eight years ago, Cumberland County chose to participate in the Retire Tennessee program as a pilot community. Retire Tennessee is one of only three programs in the United States responsible for recruiting retirees to our great State. Sixteen counties across the State of Tennessee are now a part of this awesome program. Community inventory and program criteria are required to participate. Cumberland County is exceptionally grateful to be an official community of Retire Tennessee because the good life just keeps getting better here.
Cumberland County boast of 10 championship golf courses, exceptional healthcare facilities, arts and historical attractions such the Cumberland County Playhouse which features Broadway hits, four mild climates, low cost of living with high quality of life and natural beauty that far beyond imaginable.
