Intermediate photography classes offered by Stephenson
Successful photos depend on the photographer’s technical skill and experience with the camera. Bob Stephenson’s Intermediate Photography Class will help participants become more knowledgeable and skillful camera operators.
After a brief review of basic photography, Bob will cover intermediate camera technique for several common situations, including close-up photography.
Students will study intermediate color theory, the characteristics of light, color temperature, lighting techniques, and composition.
By the end of the course, the students should be fluent in the use of Photoshop, able to correct common problems, and make excellent prints.
The three-session Intermediate Photography class is scheduled for three successive Thursday mornings (May 1, 8, and 15) from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. at the Plateau Creative Arts Center (PCAC).
The cost of Bob Stephenson’s class is $51 for members of the Art Guild or $66 for non-members. Class participants should bring their cameras plus the camera instruction manual to the first class session.
Bob Stephenson is an award winning artist/photographer who has been studying photography and perfecting his skills for many years.
His recent book, Wildflowers: a Celebration of Beauty, includes many of his photographs followed by a section on tips for improving photographs. His book is available at the PCAC.
