Thank you!

THANK YOU FG RESIDENTS:
I would personally like to thank the current County Commissioners John Patterson and Woody Geisler, retired Commissioner Carmin Lynch, Jay McMcCarthy, The Residents Voice, and Rusty McClanahan for their endorsements and the 12 FG Resident / Community Groups that sponsored Coffees and Wine and Cheese Parties, inviting 100’s of neighbors and friends into their homes, to hear and discuss a vision for our Community.
Also, a special thanks’ to Jack Menchin and the cadre of supporters, who spent countless hours, at the Village Green Mall, Food City, that went door to door through the Glade passing out over 4,000 pieces of campaign literature, the resident groups that participated in two e-mail blasts to over 2,000 neighbors and residents, and to a Chicago friend who mailed over 5,600 flyers to non-residents and non-resident property owners.
But, most of all I want to thank the 1,854 RESIDENTS who voted for me, and shared their passion for a New Direction for Fairfield Glade.
I would be less than honest, if I were to say I was not disappointed with the outcome of this year’s election. I was, but not because I did not win, but rather because the 1000s of Residents, who thought by working together, we could make a difference, lost.
Again this year the election was determined by a special interest vote, not by the concerned Fairfield Residents who own 82% of all property (lots) and whose HOA dues and amenity user fees represent over 85% of the FGCC annual operating income.
The winners of this year FGCCB Election, who received 2,714 and 2,190 votes, would have finished in 4th and 6th place without the Wyndham special interest vote. Without Wyndham’s 1,823 votes the winners received received 9.2% and 3.4% of the Resident vote.
Whereas, the 3rd, 4th and 5th place Board candidates, who received no special interest votes, received 20.9%, 20.6% and 10.5%, respectively.
The FGCCB election process is over, and I am hopeful that the new FGCCB will respond favorably to the resident desire for, fiscal responsible growth, transparency governance, repair of aging infrastructure, and prioritizing FFGCC “wants” versus “needs,” that were expressed, respectively, by all of us as part of this election cycle. Only time will tell.
Again, my gratitude and a sincere thank you to all the many great FG residents I had the pleasure to meet through this process, and for sharing your ideas and constant support.
