For The Vista
Monday, June 24, is fast approaching and you will want to be in attendance to enjoy the entertaining vocals of Keith Walther, known locally as Publisher/Editor of The Vista newspaper, at the Resident Homeowners Association gathering at Legends.
Walther has sung in DSquared Production shows at the Palace, Glade Community Center and at Mirror Lake.
He performed as Elvis at that Mirror Lake show and will again pay tribute to The King along with Neil Diamond and Tom Jones at the RHA event.
Through DSquared shows and occasionally singing karaoke at Druid or Reds, he has become known for his ability to sing almost any genre of music and bring memories of original artists back in the minds of the audience.
Your support is needed now more than ever if you want to enjoy these monthly get-togethers. Your dues are all the money that RHA has to bring you good entertainment, thus your presence is all important. Quite a number of new people are moving into the community and they would encourage you to invite your new neighbors to come along.
To make your reservations for the June 24 meeting, call Carol Pontius at 484-3138, or email to [email protected] Cost of meal, including tax and tip is $17.00 per person. Your gourmet meal for June will feature Parmesan Crusted Tilapia, house salad, whipped garlic red smashed potatoes, green beans, and Chef’s Choice Dessert.
When calling in for reservations, you can make up your own table of six or eight, or you can just reserve for yourself and we will get you seated with a good group . If you do have a group of eight that you would like to sit with, please indicate that when calling in. RHA members and guests enjoy a Social Hour from 5-6 P.M. Dinner is at 6 P.M.
Guests attending for the first time can just pay $6.00 for the entertainment plus cost of the meal. If you want to join on your next visit, it will just cost another $4.00 to become a member. Or you can pay the $10.00 dues for the balance of the year, which includes six programs.
For easier reference for the treasurer, we are asking that whenever possible, please write a check for your meals and dues. If you make a reservation by email and do not receive a confirmation, please do it again, or call to make sure that it has been properly recorded. We encourage you to be a part of this group that is now celebrating its 40th anniversary.
Note that if you make a reservation and do not attend, you are responsible for payment of the cost of the meal. RHA must guarantee the number of reservation on Thursday afternoon, June 20.
RHA meets on the fourth Monday of each month, except May and December. July will feature a wonderful young teenager from Brentwood, and in August we will have a super musician by the name of Jason Sanders from Carthage.
