For The Vista
Jason Sanders, a native Tennessean, who is currently the Music Director at the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Buffalo Valley and assistant Band Director at Gordonsville High School, will be the featured entertainment for the August 26 meeting of the Fairfield Glade Resident Homeowners.
He has played numerous times with DSquared Productions and at the Palace Theatre. For a wonderful evening of music, you will not want to miss this show.
Sanders is a singer/songwriter and self taught musician playing over eight instruments. He toured the country for 20 years, having worked with several major artists as well as playing at the Grand Ole Opry.
This summer, Jason played at the Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, MS and opened shows with the Eli Young Band, Darius Rucker and Pam Tillis.
His love of music shines through each performance. He performs a wide variety of music with only a keyboard and a guitar, but you will think there is a whole band. In addition, there is always humor in his performances.
For Fairfield Glade residents who have never attended an RHA meeting, they would encourage you to attend and get a taste of a wonderful evening with your neighbors. Deadline for reservations is Aug. 22.
Social Hour is from 5-6 p.m. with dinner beginning at 6 P.M. at The Legends. Men are requested to wear jackets and we would like for everyone to wear a name badge so you can get acquainted with one another.
Cost of the meal is $17 which includes tax and tip. To make your reservations, please call Ted LaVaque at 459-2359, or email to [email protected] Dues for the remaining four programs of the year are $10, of if you want to just check it out this time, you can just pay $6 for an entertainment fee.
If you decide that you want to join later, then you can be a fully paid member for just $4. Your membership in this organization is very important as it is only your dues that provides the monies to support contracting for the super entertainment for you to enjoy in a dry and air conditioned facility.
Entrée for this meeting will be Sauteed Breast of Chicken Florentine, vegetable medley, au gratin potatoes, house salad and dessert. A heart Smart meal can be ordered, if you like.
When making your reservations, you can make up your own table of six or eight, though we suggest that you make the reservation for the whole table at one time.
Upcoming programs include: September — featuring Tom Borjohan, a widely acclaimed comedian/magician who just recently appeared at the Spring City Theatre; October — Plateau Old Time German Band; and November will highlight our very own Jason Ross, Ashley Krohn and Dennis Donald.
The November meeting will also see the unveiling of the Glade’s Citizen of the Year!
For easier reference for the treasurer, we ask that whenever possible, please write a check for your meals and dues, if any.
If making a reservation by email and you do not receive a confirmation, please do it again, or call to be sure that it has been properly recorded.
RHA meets the fourth Monday of each month except May and December. Again, deadline for reservation is August 22.
