This photo taken recently by Glade resident Bill Fuller shows a fantastic bolt of light coming through the trees and onto the surface of Lake Catherine. Winter time sunsets can be some of the most spectacular here in Fairfield Glade. The reason? The clean dry air that sweeps down from Canada across the United States in the fall and winter allows more colors of the spectrum to make it through to our eyes without getting scattered by particles in the air. All the science aside, let’s hope it’s one of the last beautiful WINTER sunsets we will see for awhile.
